They don't work in layout, but they do when typed into the address bar.

I can't make ITopics (not an admin...), but I can report it to be one. Thanks for the support!  smile

Yeah, does not seem to work in Chrome for me.  Either in the fora or when entered into the URL line of the browser.

No no, they work absolutely fine. I did submit a support ticket in suggestions to add that feature fully, though!

Re: Displaying images on the fora without uploading them to the web!

Does BBCode limit the length of image addresses? Because [imgLONG.DATAURI/ADDRESS.HERE[/img] just shows the address.

Re: Displaying images on the fora without uploading them to the web!

Actually, you're just storing your image in a data URI with tinyURL, instead of in a file.

This dataURI contains the same data as your .gif file. It's just a less ideal way of putting it on the web  tongue

If you're tired of complicated image upload sites, there's always imgpaste.com  smile

What browser?

PS @JSO, Thanks for mentioning imgpaste.com. Really helpful! I was just experimenting with JS and chanced upon context.toDataURI().
