Designing computers in Minecraft

Read the title. This is all about redstone computers in Minecraft. Making them, using them, and just plain discussion about redstone.

I, for one, can never get my addition machines to work. I constantly check and recheck the schematics, but it never works. Any help?

Back. For now. Maybe.

Re: Designing computers in Minecraft

Designing computers in minecraft will take a very long time. If you look at my 4 bit binary adder's code you will see how large it is and that only adds up to 16.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Lots of them already exist, and are a relitively good size.

Yeah, I'm mostly inactive.  I check in once in a while though.  If you want to contact me, I have a contact form at my website, http://escratch.org

Redstone torches send a constant supply of power through a circuit. Or, if you place them in such a way, they can act as an inverter. See the Redstone Torch article on the Minecraft Wiki for more info.

Re: Designing computers in Minecraft

I made airlock once with redstone and pistons. I used it on my spaceship.  big_smile

It's on my server, but my server is not public yet and I have no computer to dedicate to hosting it.

Re: Designing computers in Minecraft

Oh please. Ya'll need to learn REAL Redstone. I like makin' 32 bit computers. Only done it once on an SSP save. I'm NEVER doing that again. PW132, I BET YOU TO COME ON CREEPERCRAFT!

I don't quite have the time to make gigantic computers. I just use redstone as a means to an end that helps me in the game.
