I love how all you people start freaking out and talk about your deaths and stuff.
The hurricane is category 3, which is moderate, not much of a big threat, and even if the hurricane was bigger, there's a thing called evacuation.

I still can't believe you're sticking with that "I'm glados a robot" story.
Seriously, the only one you're fooling is yourself.

No offense but thats inconsiderate and ignorant of you to say.
Category three can bring catastrophic damage. All hurricanes can. Katrina started out a Cat 1, and it killed 32 people in Florida before it even strengthened to a Cat 5.
And if they're freaking out, they are probably actually scared. It's not helping if you just complain.

I do live in a hurricane area. I know what these storms do
I'm not saying they're not devastating or destructive, I know full well their potency.
I am saying that instead of crying about how you're gonna die on the internet, you could maybe do a little preparing or something useful. And I'm not complaining, if I read what I wrote, I would be reassured. You see, these storms are ugly, but they are not a huge deal. There is very little chance of a death by hurricane, if you're smart.
@glados: I don't see the necessity of your post. Nexstudent delivered his opinion in a somewhat mild manner, and you are trying to turn this into some spiting remark against me. If you don't have nice stuffs to say, don't say stuffs.

And that's where you screw up every time.
Some people may interpret what you say as mean because you don't say stuff clearly the first time. -_-
Or you deliver it in quite a rude manner.

See? This is turning into a dirty little argument right here, so let's not let that happen.
I try to state my point without fear of buttering it up and making it all nicey nice. It's an opinion, delivered bare and without a sugar coat.
Now, you seem to also have neglected my major point of the above post, my hurricane knowledge. If you're so worried about a hurricane, prepare some emergency stuff, charge a self powered electronic for when your power goes out etc. moping online will not do any good, you must take action

Guys, just because you have a chance it might hit you DOES NOT mean it will. So stop saying "I am going to die!" and stuff like that.
Thank you for delivering it politely. I will shut up now.

Update!
Most of the Northeast has been changed from a High threat level to an Extreme threat level. I am sort of getting scared now, but I'm not going to worry too much about it.
No one better complain about me, I just get nervous easily.
The threat levels go:
Low
Medium
High
Extreme
Catastrophic

It could be anything. I wish weather was more predictable.

Every time I read the weather, it gets worse and worse for Rhode Island...
Rhode Island is one of the few areas that is being threated by Tornadoes spawned by Irene...
