Sounds good to me  smile  I decided to give it a shot. Here is a banjo track for "When I'm Besides You". It doubles the guitar part in the solo and fingerpicks the chords for the outro. I suggest putting it pretty low in the mix, as background for the solo guitar.

I liked the arpeggios, not so sure about doubling the solo though... I'll have to give it a try once we have the drums.

I'll record them on Tuesday. I'm on vacation (AGAIN!) and I'm coming back soon.

btw, I agree it would sound good if we did the solo twice with just banjo on the 2nd time, except at about 2:41 of hpotter's recording, the full band should come in and play the rest of the solo along with the banjo.

I didn't mean playing the solo twice lol, I think that'd sound pretty repetitive.  hmm  I said I wasn't sure about having both the guitar and banjo play the same solo at the same time  smile

hey technoguyx, make the link to the 'Kitten' song lead to the noteflight score instead of the forum topic?

The noteflight score still needs changes imo. Gone is there because it doesn't need them as much, we were just considering changing it's style. Kitten however, seems a bit forced and boring right now, that and I need to add another chorus at the end for a solo.

Cool ewe I think we need one because the cartoony logo we have now, doesn't fit our music style that much. And I don't think a cartoony cover art would fit our EP either... Talking about the EP, if you count Kitten we now have 4 songs, which is enough for the EP  big_smile  Should we record "A Chance" for the EP too?

Re: Frozen Coco - A Scratch Band

Hey Band  smile  Sorry I never got to recording the Lazy Sunday Jam. So I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow. I'm bringing my guitar along, so I might be able to record something, but I don't know if I'll have internet access...

So yeah, have a nice two weeks everyone  smile

K, hope you enjoy your vacation too e.e (though I'm not on vacation... I don't have classes because of the whole student movement going on here ._. )

EDIT: I'm registering a BandCamp account... One nice little feature it has is that you can put hidden tracks which users can get only when downloaded. Perhaps we could record "A Chance" as an hidden track.  big_smile  I haven't learned it though.  hmm

EDIT2: "My Voice to You" now on BandCamp!

EDIT3: Edited "Kitten" a little, mostly adding space for some electric guitar solos (which I don't feel like notating lol).

I guess we could consider "Kitten" done now  tongue  Should be even more interesting with the electric guitar solos.

Re: Frozen Coco - A Scratch Band

Hey, uh, sorry for not making a post here concering the possible chance of a music video for "My Voice to You" earlier. I was really busy.  tongue

Anyway, yes, I'm really excited about this. I also think that maybe Chasethestickman and Anion can help me. I might round up some of my other friends, too.

But first I think I think the word of approval is necessary. What do you guys think?

I say you guys go for it  tongue  We could have a small sample sometime perhaps, idk.

Probably, since hpotter134 doesn't have an electric. Unless I could record an electric guitar, it's not a complicated song and I could add some solo stuff on the improvising part  smile

Hi, I've heard your songs. They're pretty good!
If you need an extra guitarist (Or a solo guitarist) I'd be happy to help.
I write guitar solos at home and songs so I'm pretty good.
I can record a demo if you want.

yeah, that would be good. I'd also like to have electric guitar play on the verses. (but not the outro, I think acoustic would sound good there)

btw, leebe's back on.

I might join if my parents are Ok with it(I'm 10). IF you guys need a piano player, I can help.
EDIT: I'm also a male singer with a soprano voice.

An example of what kinda solos you could write would be good. "Kitten" should have 2 solos, a slow melodic one in the bridge and a fast one for the upbeat outro/chorus. See the Noteflight score in the first post  wink

Soprano is a female voice... Though you're likely a boy soprano. We could use a "permanent" piano player, perhaps you could try recording the piano part on "When I'm Besides You" to see if you could join?

I only have an electric piano, but yeah if you link me the sheet music I could try playing it!
EDIT: Could you send me the sheet music in the form of a pdf?

Isn't the Noteflight score enough? I'm not sure I could make only the piano part a pdf though  hmm
