Hey counselors,
What the Penguins we're gonna do? Is the first deadline but our project is too big to be uploaded.
And if somehow we can upload it, at the final draft the project will be 2 times bigger! (i think)
Don't worry, I fixed it. It's small now.
[EDIT]
Where are we gonna submit our projects?

BTW as long as it's still the 15th somewhere in the world, you can submit the draft
Heyyyy us lucky people in New Zealand (+12 timezone) can kinda submit till the 16th, ooh xDUs Aussies are only 1 hour behind
Ok then... how unfinished can the draft be?Well, we have the plot, lol;)
We only ask for a draft to be submitted by August 15. Sharing something by this mid-point deadline is an opportunity to get feedback from the Scratch Team, Collab Counselors, and the rest of the community. We recommend doing as much as you can so that you can get the most useful feedback on your work. So please submit whatever you have by then to the Collab Camp Projects Gallery!

How many winners will there be?
There won't be winners per say... The Counselors and ST will pick some of the most original, creative, ect. projects submitted to the Camp. At the last event like this, 14 projects were featured, so I believe the same number will be featured for this one. The projects will be selected based off of this criteria:
- Creative use of interactivity and media
- Story and character development
- Elegance and sophistication of programming
- Collab camp spirit

there seems to be a glitch in the japan game: when you go back to the map, the binoculars stay there, and when you click on them, they're classed as part of the stage!

Sure, can you paste a link to your project so we can check it out?

I took a look at your code and it looks like you "stamp" the binoculars onto the stage. Check out the scripts under sprites "binocR" and "binoL" under the "when I receive 'Japan binoculars'". There's a stamp block there. I suggest putting a "clear" block under the other scripts that are supposed to "hide" the binoculars. Did that make sense? It's sometimes weird to describe code via text.

Thanks guys!
Will the fact that 2 of the members of my collab camp have been on the front page in the past 3 months affect our chances of being one of the 3 featured collabs?
Lets say in choose your own adventure you get really really far and then you faint.
Having a map feature would allow you to hit continue then click the map and go back to where you were.
Do you think that the player should have to re-visit all of the tasks and options to get back to where they were, or is a shortcut ok?
Would you mind if there was no map feature?
If your project was oversized, would you cut out a feature such as this?
Thanks for helping.

There will be more than 3 featured collabs! But as for the other part of your question... I'm not sure, so I'll ask

Personaly, I hate it when I have to go back and redo a bunch of stuff because my character dies/faints/takes too much damage. So I think a shortcut would be fine. But really, that's up to the Scratchers in your collab in the end

The map feature sounds really cool But yeah, there is that pesky upload limit... Hmm... First you would want to make sure you upload with the compressor. That helps with size and such. Personally, I might look for other things to cut before I removed the map entirely. Maybe you could simplify the map? But again, that's really something thats up to you guys!

Hey, that's what we're here for!

The map is as simplified as it gets and it's unable to compress for some reason. Someone gave me a suggsetion of checkpoints, ill experiment with that.

ATTENTION ALL COLLAB CAMP MEMBERS
Collab camp is nearing its conclusion! You have a little more than a week to revise and submit your projects by the end of August.
Good luck!
