Scratch Dare
Scratch Dare is a game making competition based on Ludum Dare. Participants make a game in 48 hours from scratch, based on a theme suggested by the viewers/participants.
We plan to hold one about every month*, and we will announce the date 2 weeks* in advance. Once the date is announced, any scratcher can suggest themes for the competition. A week before the competition, scratchers can vote for the best idea.
An example theme might be OS's, or side-scrolling games.
I think this would be a very good opportunity for scratchers who have run out of ideas, or who just havent found a reason to make an individual game in a while.
If this idea is popular, I along with other scratchers will work on making this it's own website.

Rules/guide:
Events
Events are help about once every 2 months. Events are announced 2 weeks in advance.
Once the date is announced, scratchers suggest themes. A week in advance, the scratchers vote on the final theme.
The day of, the final theme is announced, and the event is started.
Joining the event
Joining is easy. Just say that you are joining.
Rules
1. You must work alone
2. All game code and content must be created within the 48 hours.
3. Games must be based on the theme.
Prizes
There are no physical or cash prizes for the competition. Your prize is your product.

BTW, just to clear this up, there will be rating other people etc, but there won;t be a winner declared and/or prizes. (other than the product)
