As some of you may remember, a while ago I posted a topic with part 1 of The Invasion of Cow, the third story arc in my series of short stories: The Adventures of Goldie the Superdog. You can read it here: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=70318
Goldie didn’t have much time left. He was trapped inside a metal room, and the building he was in was going to explode in less than a minute! Suddenly, Goldie had an idea. He jumped up and grabbed onto the florescent light on the ceiling. With one fist, he punched through the casing. He grabbed onto one of the wires inside, and began absorbing electricity.
After 30 seconds of taking in as much electricity as fast as he could, Goldie dropped to the ground. Surging with energy, he walked towards the wall. He punched it as hard as he could, and his fist went straight through. He grabbed the edge of the hole he’d made with both hands, and squeezed himself through.
Goldie looked around for an exit. He saw a lift, but he didn’t have time to use that. Instead, he jumped up and smashed through the concrete ceiling. He moved to the side slightly, so as not to fall back through the hole. He looked up, and saw the series of holes that the van had made in the ceilings.
Still full of energy, Goldie jumped again as high as he could. He jumped through all the holes and landed on the roof of the building. He could see several helicopters flying away from the building. Goldie ran as fast as he could towards the edge of the roof and jumped towards one of the helicopters.
He managed to grab on to the side of it. Fortunately, nobody inside noticed, and they continued flying as normal. Behind him, Goldie heard a massive explosion and several huge chunks of debris flying past the helicopters.
After a few minutes of travelling, the helicopters landed on the roof of another building. Goldie dropped down from the side of the helicopter, and quickly rolled underneath it. He waited for a few minutes until everyone had got out of the helicopters, climb down a ladder on the side of the building, and go inside.
Goldie crawled out from underneath the helicopter and looked around, trying to see if he could tell where he was. There were no other buildings in sight, just trees. After a while, he walked over to the edge of the building and jumped down.
As soon as he landed, Goldie got up and walked around the building, looking for an entrance. When he found one, he decided not to knock on the door. Instead, he just punched it, throwing it off its hinges. Goldie walked through the doorway. He was in a small, empty room, with a stairway directly in front of him, and a door to the side.
Goldie walked up the stairs, and came to a corridor. He opened the nearest door and walked into the room. It was an office. There was a man sitting at a desk opposite the door. He was reading a newspaper. He looked up to see who had entered the room, and saw Goldie.
“GUARDS!” he shouted at the top of his voice.
Goldie stayed where he was for a few seconds, wondering what to do. He ran at the man sitting at the desk, grabbed him, and jumped out the window behind him. They both landed on the ground, unharmed.
Still holding onto the man, Goldie ran away from the building as fast as he could. After a few minutes, when Goldie decided that they were far enough away, he let go of the man and turned to face him.
“What do you want with me!?” Goldie demanded.
“I was going to ask the same thing!” replied the man, frightened.
“Well I asked first!” Goldie shouted back.
“Mr Cow just wants to get rid of you!” the man answered, frantically. “He doesn’t want you to get in the way of his plans!”
“What plans?” Goldie asked, slightly calmer now.
“He plans to turn all humans into cows, like himself.”
Goldie was shocked! He couldn’t let this happen.
“How is he going to do that?” Goldie demanded.
“He has a transmitter on top of one of his buildings,” the man explained. “The main HQ of SiCow Industries.”
“Take me there,” Goldie said, firmly.
“You want me to help you?! No way! Mr Cow will punish me!”
“Not if I stop him first,” replied Goldie. “And I’m more likely to do that if you help me.”
“Fine,” the man replied, reluctantly.
A while later, they arrived at the front entrance of the HQ of SiCow industries. Goldie was hiding in one of the pockets inside the man’s jacket. The man walked through the revolving doors, and into the main hall. He walked past several security guards, showing them his ID badge as he walked past.
The man walked up the nearest set of stairs, and reached a corridor. To their left, the man saw a lift at the end of the corridor. He took Goldie out of his pocket and held him in front of him.
“What do you want me to do now?” the man asked.
Goldie was about to speak, but then someone walked out of the lift, saw the man and shouted over to him.
“Hey, you!” the other man shouted, angrily. “You’re Jack, aren’t you?” he continued, as he ran towards them. “You stole my iPhone!”
“Throw me into the lift, quickly,” Goldie whispered to the man, who was apparently called Jack.
Just before the other man reached him, Jack threw Goldie like a baseball towards the lift. Goldie just managed to fly through the gap between the doors as they were closing. He then hit the back of the lift.
After rubbing his sore head, Goldie stood up. He jumped up and pressed the button for the top floor. After a minute, the doors opened. There wasn’t another corridor in front of him. Instead, there was an enormous room with grass and flowers all over the floor.
Goldie was so stunned by this, that he forgot to get out of the lift. The doors closed, and the lift descended back down to a lower floor. After the doors opened, Goldie was about to press the button for the top floor again. But before he could, he saw Simon Cow walking towards him!
“Get him!” he shouted to the two guards standing next to him.
As the two guards ran towards him, Goldie jumped up and pressed the button again. The doors just managed to close before the guards got to him.
“Don’t let him escape!” shouted Simon. “He will NOT mess up my plan!”
The guards ran over to another lift just as some random person walked out of it. They got out inside it and pressed the button for the top floor. Goldie’s lift arrived first, with the other lift arriving about 10 seconds later.
Goldie ran as fast as he could across the enormous room to the first thing that looked important. In the middle of the room, there was a huge metal pole, with some sort of control consol around it. The metal pole went up through the roof. Goldie guessed that the metal pole was the transmitter, and the control consol was the thing that controlled it.
He didn’t have the faintest idea what buttons to press. But then he realised that smashing things usually works. Just as Goldie was about to punch it, he was engulfed in a net, and then dragged back at high speed across the room.
The net was attached to a rope, which was attached to a pole with an electronic motor inside to pull the rope back, which was being held be one of the guards. The guard picked up the net, with Goldie still inside. Goldie tried to break free, but the net was too strong.
The guard walked over to one of the windows in the room and was about to throw him out, before Simon Cow walked into the room from a lift. The guard turned to look at him.
“I’ve caught him!” the guard said.
“Well done,” Simon replied. “Now dispose of him.”
As the guard was looking away, Goldie reached both his arms through two of the holes in the net and pressed one of the buttons on the pole the guard was holding, hoping that it would release the net. It didn’t.
Instead, it shot the net all the way back to the control consol. His head knocked into one of the buttons, activating something. The two guards and Simon all instantly turned to look at Goldie.
“What have you done?!” Simon shouted.
An automated voice came from the consol.
“Transmitter activated and powering up. Transmitting in one minute.”
“Oh, that’s ok then,” Simon replied to himself, calmly. “You’ve just activated my plan.”
Goldie was about try and press the button again, to see if it would stop the machine, but the guard pressed the button on the pole, dragging Goldie back. Simon reached into his pocket and pulled out a syringe. Instead of injecting it into Goldie, which is what Goldie thought he was going to do, he injected it into himself!
Simon’s skin started changing. It turned completely white! He started to get bigger and bulkier. His clothes stretched to fit him perfectly fine. After only 10 seconds, he had completely turned into a cow! He looked at Goldie and charged!
Will Goldie stop the machine in time and escape Simon Cow? Find out next time!

This isn't a real dog. It's a soft toy made out of a super secret material which was struck by lightning, thus animating it and created an artificial neural circuit, simulating a brain...
