Finally updating.
Check out this cool guide by JJRocker after reading this if you're not completely sure you understood it (It's more resumed ).
So, random New Scratcher, before you make a new topic asking how to get rid of it, I'd recommend reading this.
Chapters:
1.) Why it's here
2.) How to get rid of it
3.) Things that will make you have less chances of getting rid of it
4.) For people that have been on for like 5 months and still aren't Scratchers
1: Why it's here
_____________________________________
There was once a day, a peaceful day, where not too many moderators were online. Then came quite a big wave of trolls posting images of very inappropriate stuff. Eventually, though, many moderators and Scratch Team members came, though, and deleted everything. Since then, the ST decided to put this rank, making people not be able to link, post images, etc. (And have to wait 180 seconds to prevent spamming without images or links, such as commercial spam).
2: How to get rid of it
_____________________________________
Be active on the forums, and the site. Truly, I don't think comments are very important, but posting a couple of projects would probably be a little boost. And by active on the forums, I don't mean posting 50 times will get you the rank. I mean, be active for around a month, if you post a lot every day, though in almost every case it'll take one month or more (Sometimes it's less, though. I'm not sure why, but people like 4lover got promoted in 2 days). And when I mean post a lot, I don't mean hundreds of "lolz" "roflcopterz!" "Cool story bro!" I mean, helpful comments. Welcome other New Scratchers, try helping out All About Scratch and Advanced Topics (If you understand enough to, of course). And also, if you have a question about Scratch, post it in All About Scratch. If it's about PHP, HTML, etc., post it in Advanced Topics. But as that isn't necessarily related, I'll go on to the next chapter.
3: Things that will make you have less chances of getting rid of it
_____________________________________
Posting a topic saying, "Can I be a Scratcher now?" will probably not change anything (If not for worse), and it'll just annoy people. Just be patient. It isn't that bad, you can post links like http://www.google.com, just not disguise it in text other than the link itself. Posting negative posts (And comments) is bad as well. For example, if somebody posts a project that isn't good, don't say "This sucks.". Give constructive criticism-And don't say stuff like "This sucks, I can make it better if you'd like." or "This sucks, you should add powerups.", put stuff like, "It's okay, but I think it'd be better if it had powerups.". Stuff like that. Also, never say bad words. And when I mean bad words, I mean some not-too bad words. I can't post them, of course, but even if you think it's not a bad word, think about it. People of 7 years old might be reading your post. And also, don't post stuff that has nothing to do with anything until you're a full Scratcher. For example, posting a Minecraft topic in New Scratchers because you can't post where it goes is bad.
4: For people that have been on for like 5 months and still aren't Scratchers
_____________________________________
Okay. You've been on for 5 months, and you posted like, 5 posts a month. "Why am I not a Scratcher?" you may ask. Well, it's simple-If somebody only posted 25 times, the Scratch Team wouldn't have found them and put them as a Scratcher, or can't trust them yet, as they've been very inactive. You'll probably have to have around 200-300 posts before being a Scratcher. I mean, it's not official, it could be more, it could be less, but that's what I'm estimating. So, if that happened, don't make a thread complaining. Just post some more, and the ST will notice you've been on the site for quite a while, and probably promote you.
(Note: Now, after reading posts on this thread a while, it's possible it promotes New Scratchers to Scratchers automatically after a month. You might need some projects, though. I'm not entirely sure, so just post and make projects, just in case. And moderators, please tell me if it's automatic, or what are the requirements, so I can make the thread better)
And I guess that's that. If you have anything for me to add, please suggest. And any constructive criticism about the writing is greatly appreciated

Nice guide! According to the Scratch Wiki, there was a user called puppetadventurer that had over 600 posts and was still a New Scratcher! Imagine that...
I'll probably have around 700 or 800 before I'm a Scratcher Who knows, though. There's also a little bit of luck involved.

No, I'm not sure why you got yours so quickly. By luck I meant the moderators could notice you more, going through topics you posted on. But truly I don't understand why they did it in two days for you. I'm guessing possibly you may have had another account, but don't want to disclose it, and contacted the ST to make you a Scratcher. But, even then, it'd be doubtful they'd make you a Scratcher in two days... D:

nope but I do have another account but it has no projects on it

Wow, thank you for the guide.
Personally, I don't mind not being able to post images and stuff like that.
All you get for being a "Scratcher" is the respect that comes with the title. But really, it just means you've posted a couple projects and visit the forum regularly.

Advanced Topics is only for advanced stuff about Scratch, not really other languages.

I joined the site less than one month ago. I'm in no hurry to be a Scratcher, anyways.

This is awesome. Great guide! Now I have something to link to every time I see someone post a topic getting upset. Once, I saw someone throw a tantrum that they weren't a scratcher yet and they had no projects and 1 post

I am about to reveal something that will sound unfair to new scratchers - or scratchers.
I have less than 100 posts and I'm a Scratcher already!(?)
I've been on Scratch a long time (just not the forums) - I think that must be why.

Yep, probably because you've registered an year ago. If you registered when you started posting a lot on the forums (A couple of weeks ago, no?), you'd probably still be a New Scratcher.

Nobody can read the future, no? Read the post, follow what it says, and soon you'll be a Scratcher.
