On Panther, is it possible to snap objects to a grid on scrolling backgrounds- because i've tried the mouse rounding thing and i can't seem to work it out.

I don't understand what your trying to do, do you mean making a sprite move when the background moves?

I recently downloaded Panther. I love it and I think it is amazing, but there are some glitches, and I need some help navigating the Panther code. If you are a Panther developer, Panther modifier, or experienced coder, please click the above link; I really need help.
I would really appreciate any help anybody can give. Thanks.

Question, is panther still being deveolped? (1.1)

we should keep nagging the developers till they bring it out, because this is getting ridiculous. If they don't bring it out after almost a year of waiting, I'll start using BYOB 3 or they're new programmer SNAP!

You pose a good point. Would people like use to release what we have as Panther 1.2?
What do other devs think?
yes!! Well, maybe 1.0.1 since it's probably not much, but of course!!

NO NAGGING, it's taking so long because it is going to be amazing. I have one request. Can Panther 1.1 include hex editing blocks?
Offline
Well I would call it 1.2 since we've added multiline strings - a but update.
The main problem with releasing atm is that panther1.0 projects aren't all that compatiable with the new version. Namely variables are giving us trouble since the new version does not have colour variables, standard variables can take colours as input.
nXIII hasn't been around at all lately, I don't know where he stands on the project right now...

What about making them obsolete?
And why would 1.2 come before 1.1?
I can't wait for multi-line support though.

Ok so is that a yes or a no? You shouldn't delay updates that long because people lose interest, trust me I know!
Also the panther forums (On the panther website) does not seem very active, "Forum last checked by a moderator: Sunday 10th April 2011" Thats 6 months ago! Come on Panther has alot of potential. I mean file writing, some mesh features and advanced colour blocks, I don't see why nobody is active!
Bit off the topic (Suggestion/Request):
More mesh blocks, specially clinet blocks:
-Client press green flag
-Clinet press stop
-Clients connected #
-Client IP
-Kick Client
also if you could add the play pause feature like in BYOB
Thanks
And please reply!

oops, just made a huge complaint on your website before reading these updates. sorry. i were angry though.

Please appreciate that us developers have lives and interests outside of Scratch too! I'm currently starting university, others have school work, holidays or other projects. Being angry isn't the way to speed things up, though I'm all for releasing what we have at the moment. I'm responsible for keeping the website up to date and I've lapsed there a little due to exams etc. but I have a day off work tomorrow so I promise to take the opportunity to do a full site-update, add backlogged projects, answer forum posts etc.

Thanks sparks,
and sorry for my spelling errors in my above post, I meant client.
I don't want to push anybody but can you still look into my suggestions?
Offline
I think if you just told us what was going on (like a message once a week) then people like me wouldn't outburst like that, because i understand that everyones busy and that complaint was a bit over the top. When I mean going on, I mean a small update, nothing much.

Does anyone here know why Panther only opens the default project, even when you tell it to open something else? Thanks!
