scratch and sqeak?

what is sqeak? is that what scratch is powered by? is it similar to scratch? post your opinion on this topic. http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/post.php?fid=6#req_message that is what I usally do on my projects. I know I spelled things wrong.

squeak is NOT similar to scratch. Everything else is correct.

Scratch was programmed in a progamming language called Squeak.
