Hey A little help?

Hey guys, I've recently signed up in order to gain a helping hand.

I'm new to Scratch and i was wondering if anyone can link me to or give advice in terms of using this program.

My current goal is to build a sort of BANK system. Like an online banking page..

Following features i wish to be able to access would be;

All these links must hop off the HOMEPAGE

Login System. Homepage.  Help button.

Depositing, Withdrawing, Transferring , show current balance.

All i need is a tut which allows me to do this, Even if its a basic tut showing the basics which will allow me to do this.

Many thanks

Justmatel

Re: Hey A little help?

Maybe you should start off with something easier instead of jumping into something you aren't ready to do.

Or maybe you can take your negativity somewhere else.

The only problem is, I've never used a program like it.

So i ask again, if you'd be kind enough to offer some help, Linking me to topics or vids relating to this would help greatly, I've looked around myself but couldn't find much thus i ask your community.

Well if you mean a Scratch game banking program I would first start learning stuff from the Scratch Wiki and the Support Tab  smile

Also, JJROCKER is right, making a banking program would be sort of hard for new scratchers, unless you already know how to make complex projects.  hmm

You can also ask questions in other parts of the forums where your thread will be seen more easily. My brother: Snowdrift, can help. He's making an OS, so he should be able to give some pointers on your banking system.  smile

I was not being negative. I was just saying, a banking system is a pretty tough thing that you want to make. I meant that you should start making easier projects and then start working yourself into the banking program.

Just like riding a bike. You start with the training wheels and then work your way into a 2 wheeler and doing tricks.

You don't start by riding a 2 wheeler and doing tricks in the air. That just isn't the way to work.

Well, if you learn by starting off hard, everything else will seem easy in comparison.  No offense, but that was a little bit negative.

Re: Hey A little help?

I have created a project to help with usernames and passwords: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ellscharstark/1984150
I have made a project to help with help buttons:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ellscharstark/1984160
I am about to make some more projects to help your banking system become a success. I would appreciate it if you gave credit in the project or description, but I don't really mind. If you think of something else you need help with, comment on one of my projects.

Re: Hey A little help?

Tips: name your sprites and, if you have more than one, your costumes.
Do one section at a time.
For sprites with similar purposes, make one, copy it, then edit the copy to do as you wish.
Do get frustrated. If something is wrong with your project, go through it a bit at a time to find the problem.
Experiment with different blocks.
Have fun.

Re: Hey A little help?

I have made a project to deposite, withdraw and transfer money:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ellscharstark/1984176
You won't need a homepage, as you will have to log on before you can use the deposite/withdraw/transfer things.
