I am in pain.

I got braces yesterday, and they ACHE! I had to take lots of ibuprofen (Had to use spell check for that,  tongue ) and they STILL hurt! GAAAH! I look pretty good in them, but my teeth really ache, and since the orthodontist put these two plastic thingies behind my two front teeth, I can't even chew the way I used to! On top of all that, I need elastics to "fix my crossbite" or whatever.

Jeez, how can someone put that much c*** in your mouth and you can still speak?

Discuss braces.

Well, in a year or two, you'll have a very nice smile  big_smile  My advice? Don't eat what they tell you not to eat... It makes it go a little faster  wink  I was supposed to have them for 2 years, but I only had to have them for a little less than that!

What colors did you get?

No one can really say they envy me. But whatever! As soon as it stops hurting I can eat stuff other than ice cream and mashed potatoes!

I'll probably have to get braces in highschool. -_- I've only lost like 8 baby teeth. And I hope I get another out soon, becuase I DO NOT want my teeth pulled out like my sister.

My braces were removed a year ago!  smile  But my teeth are not all that straight.  sad  I had a retainer, but that blocked my adult teeth that were growing, so I don't use it anymore.

I know exactly how you feel!  Lilacfuzz101's right.  Don't eat what they tell you not to.   It'll be worth it.

I don't think I have to get braces ever...

My friend (Adventurest1) has had them on and off since I met her xD She has really nice teeth though  tongue  My teeth are gross Dx I wish I had perfectly white teeth  sad

I didnt get colors. They're cool, but all they do is give you more gunk on your teeth to brush off, and since I'm not into brushing 3-4 times a day without colors, I dont think Id like to brush with them.  hmm

OK, I need to rant:

I can't even CHEW anything without an uncomfortable, painful feeling in my mouth. Since I have a crossbite, my ortho-guy gave me these plastic backings that stick out horizontally on the back of my two front top teeth, and when I close my mouth, my back top and bottom molars don't touch each other. It already sucks enough that I can't eat crunchy food for the next, lile, week, but not being able to chew (without hurting myself) any food narrows it down even more! GAAAAAAAAAHHHHH I HATE THOSE PLASTIC BACKINGS!

Yeah, I had to have something like that so that I didn't accidentally bite down with my upper teeth on my botton brackets and break them off. THAT is a PAIN. I think I was allowed to take it out to eat though...  hmm
