Not to be rude, but the screenshots look like 16-bit characters slapped into a Master System/Game Gear game.


Also, will you change the special stages?

You're right, those backgrounds are terrible. I'm reminded of Spectrum 128k graphics, or maybe Amstrad CPC.

I suggest that, for the Surreal Serenity Zone, the background is that of the Special Zone from Sonic 1. That background is pretty trippy.

Great idea! Also, I will be changing the background, it is only in pre-alpha stages. I will also change the special stages.

I have already come up with a story. The story:

Eggman creates a large base of operations (the Death Egg), as usual. This time, though, he builds it right over a power plant powering a very important computer. This computer controls the nearby robot factories. (He does this at night, so there is no one in the power plant.) He uses most of the power for his base, but he gives just enough power to the computer (which he has hacked) to keep it running. The hacked computer starts producing Badniks. Eggman prepares to launch into outer space with the computer and the factories. Sonic must stop him, preferably before this happens.

I got one idea.

Rainbow Cloud Zone-An area with clouds connected by rainbows. Boss-Egg Phoenix, a robot phoenix with the Egg Mobile as the head, shoots fire beams and trys to slam into you.

This could be combined into Arco Aether. Since each act has a sub-boss, Egg Phoenix or Egg Thunder could be sub-bosses, if one of them was altered slightly.
