I saw a bear on the side of the highway this morning, and I saw a dead rabbit (The carcass now home to a bunch of striped orange beatles) in my yard today.

Maybe I'll put up a picture. big_smile

It was kind of out in the open... and it looked a day or too old. But why didn't the hawks, owls, and coyotes take it? (that is, the rabbit)

A couple weeks ago, on the way to my camp, we'd always drive by a dead skunk in the middle of the road. Adding to the grossness was that we always had to smell it as we drove by. sad

I've seen none resently. But I have seen really disgusting ones. All I can say is dead cat with insides all over the place.

In Colorado, we have bear sightings all the time. big_smile

Mostly in the neighbors garage/trash.... as roadkill though, is rare.
