I'm on MacOS 10.4.10 (Powerbook G4) and I believe I've encountered a bug.

While working on a homework project, I attempted to join "pick random color x to x" to the "set pen color to x" directive, and it simply will not take. The color area also does not highlight as you might expect from the behavior of joining to other directives.

I can place that directive in other areas "go to" and "move" etc, without any trouble.

I'm otherwise able to activate the dropper and select a color manually.
This leads me to believe I may have encountered a bug.

Anyone observe this same problem? I will attempt to duplicate this on a Windows system tomorrow.

Probably because that simply won't make sense.

If you use "pick random" instead of "pick random color" it would work. Look-

[blocks]
<when green flag clicked>
<set pen color to(<pick random(x)to(y)>
[/blocks]

If this still causes problems, you should try to get a Scratch team member to help.

Yes, you can join them.

It worked subsequently in another Scratch program, and I'm utterly puzzled about it.

I think I may have hit upon a subtle bug in Scratch on MacOS.. but I'm not able to really reproduce it consistently.
