Should I overclock a Netbook?

I have an Asus Eee PC Netbook. You seriously wouldn't beleive how Scratch runs on this thing - making my last game was hell, it runs about 5 times slower than how fast the Flash player plays it. It's that bad.

There's an application on my PC installed called "Eee Super Hybrid Engine". It allows you to boost my CPU speed up by 10% (1.67GHz), but even then it runs slowly. Apparently it can be pushed to 2.1 GHz.

So, I have two questions: A) Should I overclock my netbook? B) What software can I use? (processor: Intel Atom N450; RAM: 2GB; model: Eee PC R101, but it's the same as the 1005PX - the only difference is that mine runs XP and the other runs 7).

I might return for a little while.

No can do. I already maxed it out from the default of 1GB to 2GB.

I found the answer you were looking for here.
Really, it's your choice. But think about power usage when overclocking!

I do know that. I'm going to plug it in and place the Netbook where the fan can get some air. I asked you guys because Google really was no help, I've clicked on the first 10 results and nothing good worked for me.

I missed read the title as "Should I overcook a Netbook?" XD

Eh, sorry. I can't help you there. I've never owned a Netbook or anything from Apple. (I hate mainstream)

You lived a good four years, Scratch 1.4... May you rest in peace...

Same here. I'm using a ten-year-old laptop now even this works way better. And the netbook has a ton of problems beside its slowness, such as the right and left click buttons just stopped working and I had to tap the mousepad just to click stuff. And it was so full of viruses that if I searched something and then clicked one of the options, it would go to a random page. I had to copy and paste the link shown, using CtrlV and CtrlC, as left click wouldn't work. It was a nightmare.
Now I can't use the netbook even if I want to, because it asks for a password to log in, and I never made a password.

Netbooks: Now more mainstream than desktops/laptops.

You're going to have a hard time overclocking a netbook. They're really not designed to be overclocked and you're not going to find any options to do so in the BIOS, but I've heard of some people having some luck. Maybe you should go ask over on a tech forum with more experienced people?  hmm
