[No Twilight Hate please, this is to discuss the Guide, not how much you hate Twilight.]
Yeah, I bought the Twilight:Illustrated Guide. With my own money. A really comprehensive book for a fan. I must say, I found the illustrations of the Cullens fairly amusing. Edward looks like a mafia member, Alice looks like a punk, Carlisle looks like Jon Spiro and Emmett looks like Jon Spiro's bodyguard.
It including a lot of trivial stuff though. For example, did you know the "sparkling" of vampires is due to:
The cellular membrane of the vampire is not as soft or permeable as in a human cell; it has crystalline properties that cause the surface of vampire skin to react prismatically, giving the vampire a glitter-like shimmer in sunlight.
Skipping past all the science talk, it basically means that vampires are basically living, tiny crystals packed very tightly together!
Also, the transformation does not beautify the vampire, unlike what we've been led to believe. It simply highlights the parts of them which are nicer, and also makes them seem fitter, due to the fact that vampire cells are rock-hard.
Another interesting fact is that dust petrifies on vampire skin after millenia of staying still(the reason for Aro's transparent skin and milky eyes).

'Crystalline structure'? Statistically implausible! This is why I don't read Twilight! (Well, not really, but you get the idea.)
