~*~!!!IMPORTANT!!!~*~
Does anyone else remember the theme is interactive storytelling? Before we make everything fit together, we have to put the story in. Otherwise, it's just a collection of minigames stuck together. Not a story.

I was just thinking about that.

Does the theme also suggest that the player should be able to influence the plot, as well? Such that there might be different paths through the game, depending on choices they make.

Sorry I haven't been on, at school, but what did you think the script was for. We're using to put it in between the games to make a story. Also, to make it so the player influences the game- I have no idea. I am open to any suggestions.

No, the interactive part could be the plot, the people in the story, or both. I say we make the people interactive, it would save time.

Ah, good. I agree; we'd be best to do that, then.
Edit: I may've forgot to mention that I'm disappearing for a week, starting on Sunday. If you want my help doing anything (merging the projects together?) it would be really helpful if the minigames were finished soon (today or tomorrow, perhaps?). I'm happy to help with finishing them, too, but could you let me know if this script is the final, finished version?
If you don't want my help anymore, seeing as I won't be here for a week, I'm fine with that, too (:

Hello,
I'm back earlier!
What happened while i was in vacantion? I'm still in the team?
I think you've been away just slightly longer than I've been back, so here's my summary:
When I got back I wrote this post about all the minigames (most of which I believe has now been fixed).
I think this is still roughly where we are (although you'll have to check the last few forum pages to be sure):

Canada, Brazil, Romania are completely finished. India and France need some work. Japan needs a lot of work. The other countries haven't been made yet.
So, from what you said:
Japan — a lot of work needed
America — not started
France — some work needed
Mexico — not started
Africa — not started
Brazil
Germany — not started
Japan — again?
Romania
Canada
India — some work needed
So, I think we should be finishing the minigames and the script. Is that right, anyone?

Not. that one. The first part, the animation-only one, thst makes this an interactive STORY.
With the scratch cat talking, kaj kidnapping the dialogue with Lightnin, and the other thingamagig's. (lol 4 the last part)

Oh... My... God... How on the penguin planet we're gonna beat this?

This one was made by me. No feedback?
ScratchCat: Thank you for your efforts !This year's edition of Collab camp was greater than the others!
SC:All the teams put a lot of effort in their projects!
SC:You all guys did great, but the winner is...
Kaj: Not too fast!
Kaj:(*Takes Scratch cat , puts it in a bag, and runs away)
The Crowd:Oh no!
Liliacfuzz101:(*talks to another judge*) We need to call the Admins... It seems that "He" came back to revenge.
Player:Who? What revenge?
Lightnin:Kaj.He promised to destroy Scratch. It seems that he started this plan.
Player:What do we do now?
Lightnin:We don't know anything about Where is Kaj now, so we leave it to the cops.
Player: What??? Leave it all to me.
P *goes on the street*)
Bkg(*Some random guys on the street where kaj was seen running. A good one(that tells the truth) and Jak (that is kaj's accomplice)*)
If you click on the good guy:
P:Have you seen a guy with a bag running?
GG:Yeah, a paper felt out from his pocket. It's somewhere to the right.
If you click on Jak:
P:Have you seen a guy with a bag running?
Jak:Yep, he took on the left.
If you go on left:
A massage pops out and says :You've got tricked by a Kaj's Accomplices! Don't always trust strangers, especially it they look suspicious! CLick on the arrow to go back.
If you go on the right:
You see a paper on the ground. You click on it and you take it. On the paper is drawn a map of the countries Kaj was.
P:Hmm.... Where we will go now?
(Buttons showing Japan , India , etc.)

D'you mean this one? Or perhaps this reply? I do prefer the intro from your one; we should certainly use that, at least...

You can edit posts, you know
Edit: Darn, you got there first. I do certainly like your intro though:

Edit, again: Didn't we decide to use "Jak" instead, of "Kaj", or have I got that wrong?
Also, it might not be a great idea to use names of particular scratchers (such as "Liliacfuzz101" or "Lightnin"), without at least asking first. Or perhaps at all.

Happy_011 — seeing as we're the only two online; how about you finish the plot/script/story, and I'll finish the minigames?
I'm happy to go with whatever in terms of plot.

I just found some duplicate broadcasts — names like "Play" — that will make everything go crazy when we merge the projects together, as Brazil will respond to Canada's "Play" broadcast, for example. I'm renaming them all to fix this.

I updated the Cricket game to improve the movement of the ball and bat — hope that's okay...

Thank you!!! Acmulan and I were completely stumped on how to program the cricket game. btw, I like happy_011's script better. It just sounds easier to merge.

Glad you like it!
And I really don't mind about the script — I do prefer Happy_011's intro, though, so I think we should use that either way.

Also, how should scoring work? Should you lose points/game over if you miss the ball completely? From playing the game, what do you think would be a good win condition? Getting a score over 50? 100?

It just occured to me that using "script" to talk about the plot means I keep confusing it with "script" — a collection of blocks in Scratch. We couldn't just call it "plot" instead, could we?

Agree. I'll make the intro.
