Remixing problem

This is the first time this has happened to me, when I tried to enter a contest, I downloaded it, changed it up, and then posted it online.  Then, I checked it out online. It said it was only made by me, and not remixed.

The project I'm refering to is here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/JcpoppTest/1963541

Re: Remixing problem

Did you import the project into Scratch, or save it and open it in Scratch? Importing a project causes the attribution tag (you know, that thing at the bottom of every project that give credit to the original project) to be removed, so if you imported it, you accidentally removed the attribution tag.

If you didn't, then it might be a bug. Could you give the link to the original project so we can see where the remix chain got broken?  smile

Re: Remixing problem

I think cheddargirl is right. Saving your projects can delete the credit tag (or whatever you call it) that beneath your project online. Its not likely you'd import it though, as there would'nt be much point. The lesson is, save your contest entry after you upload it, or if you have to save it because you need more time later, comment on the contest project with the link to your project. Re: Remixing problem

It's no big problem, just post a link to the creator and listen to Cheddargirl

Re: Remixing problem

Um, im pretty sure I impirted the project into scratch, And colored directly from there. It is probably a small bug.

Also here is the original project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Treblue/1949217

Yep, importing causes the attribution tag to be lost, that might be it. In any case, I'll let the Scratch Team know about this to see if there was a bug.  smile
