The scratch team's priorities

I was just wondering if anyone could say what the scratch team is working on now and how important each item is.

I just want to know the likelihood of somethings getting fixed, specifically the poor performance of the online scratch player when compared to the performance of the offline scratch player.

Hi, I am Archmage coder extraordinaire. I do Scratch, pascal, java, php, html, AS2 and AS3. Leave me a message if you want coding advice. Also check out my personal website, lots of good stuff about web development, Flash, and Scratch (v1 and v2) !

Yeah, I mean sometimes when people ask questions, Paddle2See says, "Well it looks likes theres already something like that being worked on!" though, how does he know that, and could he put a list of those things?

He is part of the Scratch Team... He probably stays in contact with them regulary.

I agree with Archmage. I think what the Scratch Team needs to work on now, before they start on any new blocks or features, is to make the online player similar to the offline, presentation player. And then sprite duplication ^.^

Definitely. I had my project "Walkerbot" ruined by the online player. (shameless ad for project)

I have access to the bug lists for both the website and the Scratch and Java Player apps.  In the case of the website, I get regular updates as bugs are fixed and tested so I have a pretty good idea of what is going on.  When it comes to the Scratch and Java Player apps, I can see the bug lists but I don't get updates  so I really don't know what is happening there.

I am pretty much in agreement with you folks...the bugs in Scratch and the Java Player should be the focus of the next release, before any new features are introduced.  Whether or not that is what is actually happening - I don't know.  Maybe somebody from the Development Team would like to take a minute and address this question?
