Simple, here in Misc, we all know each-other. When someone posts, we know the person! But on the main site, it's like a huge city, nobody knows anyone. Here in misc, we are a small community that all know and support each-other. Making sense?

Yeah, the forums have a smaller community than the main site, which is like YouTube; we either are very popular and well-known, pretty much known, or not really known at all.

Anyway, I think you have a point. As the site becomes more saturated with users, it becomes harder for lesser-known Scratchers to get noticed and so most projects fade into obscurity, with mostly projects by more famous Scratchers getting the vast majority of the attention. It's unfortunate really, but also part of the growth of a community. As it grows, it gets nearly impossible for it to be as tight-knit as it once was.
