It's impossible to make a 3D project, but you can either make a 3D world/sprite on a different program where you can make 3D games and then take a picture of it and import it onto the Stage, or you can make a sprite look 3D by adding shading to it.

I think I have found away to make 3d sprites!!!
I was looking for some way to make sprites 3d and after alot of looking I found a program called Teddy i follow the links and found another program called smooth teddy (smoth teddy is teddy and a program called charmelion put together) and it makes 3d objects which can be exported now I think there might be one problem I'm not sure if they can be imported into scratch.
you can also make 3d worlds apparently using alice
Link to smooth teddy: http://www-ui.is.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~takeo/java/smoothteddy/index.html
hope this helps

You know what would be a much better tool for Scratch users to make 3D games? Alice. http://www.alice.org/
It's *much* easer than spending 72 years trying to learn the insanely complicated (but very powerful) Blender. It also has a similar interface and comprehensive tutorials, so you'll be right at home.
My Dad found that for me online. I tried it out, but it's a lot harder than the Scratch program. It is very different than Scratch, so since I'm used to Scratch, it makes it even harder.

I think there is no really easy way to make 3D games. Blender GE is probably much more simple than going out and getting a .lib 3D extension to a text language such as c++ and using that. But it does provide challanges. How, it uses the bullet physics engin (which is awome) so you don't have to do that part of the programming. But If you have no blender expeariance whatsoever, I would recommend finding a good tutorial and looking a the blender wiki.
In short, there is no easy way to make a truely 3D game.

Really, you can't do any practical 3-D rendering in scratch. Try Java, or Blender.

Oh, and the wait forum code ends up wrong.

People have done actual 3d on scratch, no scripts its modding and hacking. You can put ps2 od xbox 360 stuff in scratch but it's not colored or textured it's just little blue lines. You can rotate it and go through it with the camera, i'll try to find it.

unfortunately, the 3D is limited and sometimes laggy, you have to do all the nitty gritty math yourself.

well if you want to make 3d games and stuff use starlogo tng also by MIT http://education.mit.edu/drupal/starlogo-tng

but, I would prefer blender, it has more functionality(believe it or not) esp since you can use python...well actually python IS why it has more functionality....

CS2/CS3 will not do 3D unless you do all the nitty gritty math yourself...

I don't think that supports full fledged real 3D...
...plus two, it a wee bit ore expensive than most of us can afford.

I would recommend IrishArcher's projects. He works with the simulated-3D projects (which are actually 2D but look like 3D).
