Recently, I suggested the idea of a semi-monitored private messaging system. I recieved a direct and stout nono.
So, I thought of a new idea.... kind of. Cheddargirl said to me, that anything that needs to be said to someone should be said in public.
So, instead of a messaging system, how about a Facebook styled wall?
I wanted PM (private messaging) because it just seemed..awkward to go onto their latest Mario or Cat drawing and say, hey you're doing great! Why on that project? Why not on some other project?
So, a user would either have a wall on one page and a project pgae next to that. However, some famous and talented users like eRKSTOCk might not like the spam, so you can disable posting. Also, this would be a GREAT way to advertise your next projects to people who wander onto your wall. You can write abut what your next game willbe and such.
Optional
In order to prevent this new wall from being just a daily blog, there would be this box and only this box where you can't write anything, but you would be able to check boxes like when the game will release, what its about, who would be interested... etc...
This idea would be great! However, designing a semi-Facebook styled wall might be a little arduous, as there is only one Mr. Zuckerburg in the world, and there might be few people that could code like him.... while drunk. Lol
So? Moderaters? How about it? Is this entirely possible?

Maybe instead of a "wall", it could be a "Username64's Latest News" or something like that.

Exactly.

I think I saw this mentioned in the middle of a thread once before, and I like it. As long as it's completely out in the open, it would be nice to have a place you could use to contact someone without having to comment on a random project, where it might not get noticed. It could degenerate more easily into a place to chat though, which I'm not sure how the ST would feel about.

They are going to implement something called "User Customizable Pages" or something but I dunno if it will have something like this... it may or may not
