I just downloaded Scratch 1.4 for the Mac and installed it on two Macs. On the first one, to check it out, I started Scratch and the UI came up fine. On the other Mac, which my son will use, when I start Scratch, it comes up with a dialog box to "Choose a file". I don't know what it's looking for, or why it acts differently on this second Mac.
Any suggestions? Thanks for any help!

It's looking for the Squeak .image file. I dunno why.

veggieman001, thanks for that clue. I compared the installation folder on the two machines and found that the second Mac was missing many files, including the Scratch.image file you referred to. For some reason, the installation did not work correctly from the same dmg file. When I copied the working folder over to the second machine, it started right up.
