Super Sonic is confirmed.

Oh, and not found in the demo: Chemical Plant pictures have been uploaded via Facebook by SEGA. It also included the Sonic CD Stardust Speedway Metal Sonic boss (I LOVE THAT BOSS)

Sky Sanctuary Zone (Sonic the Hedeghog 3 & Knuckles)

DREAMCAST & HEROES ERA
Speed Highway (Sonic Adventure)
City Escape (Sonic Adventure 2)

MODERN ERA

Casino Night Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog 2)

BOSS FIGHTS
Metal Sonic (Sonic CD, Stardust Speedway)

Silver the Hedgehog (HOW BOUT THIS/Sonic the Hedgehog 06)
"Death Egg" (whatever that means.../Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles)
Perfect Chaos (Sonic Adventure)
Egg Dragoon (Sonic Unleashed)
Final Boss: "Time Eater"

That's what they found. I have a ton of pictures if you want them.

The only evidence supporting your claim is the thing where it says you can play as "Both".

I've seen this on Sonic Retro.

Yeah, so that means it may or may not happen. Do you people have to have all this information right here and now? If you can't just wait for Sega to announce stuff and eventually release the game, then I suggest you get in your time machine and set the date for December 1, 2011, because by then, Sonic Generations will be out.

Dude, it's the truth. Face it. If you don't like it, well I'm sorry, but you can't argue with the truth; this is all real. Argue with me all you want, but seriously - the WHOLE SONIC FANBASE knows this. And if you don't know anything about it and are willing to put up a fight with me over it, don't bother, because the final release will prove you wrong and that all this is true.

In fact, WHY are you even arguing with me? I gave you SOLID EVIDENCE!

And they hacked the demo, and found this stuff. It becomes a hack. Because it was hacked. It doesn't mean "because it's a hack, it's not true". Oh, no. I know a lot of stuff dude, and I hate to brag but I'm probably the biggest Sonic fan on the site. Why? Well, here's one thing: not only did Sonic Retro hack the demo, BUT SO DID I, and I found all this stuff right inside the PS3 demo. It's the truth, and I'm sorry if I sound flamey, but why don't you understand? This is legit and real. It was all over the Sonic news, in fact, all over IGN, GameSpot and CVG. You can't argue with that.

It may be hard to beleive that SEGA left all this stuff in there, but there's a reason why: they ripped one part of the game out and it just so happens that loads of things came with it because they were in the same part as the level. And when you rip out a demo, you need some components for them to work, i.e, if the item logo sheet (with speedshoes and other power ups) wasn't in the demo, then the icon wouldn't appear when the item box was smashed.

Dude, just don't continue this. It's all true, and if you question this, I'm just going to reply it's true. Again, sorry for the flamey attitude, but all this is 100% true.

Dude, one thing before I start: HOW THE HECK DO YOU HACK IT?!

While, yes, Modern Sonic in Classic Sonic's levels, and Classic Sonic in Modern Sonic's levels does sound fun, this is a DEMO HACK. It may or may not come in the final release. Think of Sonic 2 Beta. They had some things that were in the "demo" version of the game that weren't in the final release.

And dude, there are probably tons of Sonic mega-fans on the Internet. I'm a big Sonic fan, too, but I patiently wait for the final release.
While all this information DOES sound exciting, there's always the possibility that Sega scraps it. First of all, they might think "Oh, Classic Sonic in Modern Sonic's levels and Modern Sonic in Classic Sonic's levels might give fans of the old Genesis games the wrong idea, so we'll just scrap it even though it was in the demo that tons of people hacked."

As I said before, it's like Sonic 2 Beta. Some stuff in the "demo" release may or may not be in the final game. That's a fact. We can't demand Sega give all of this to us right now, it ruins the fun of the game.

For instance, wouldn't you be surprised if you beat the final release and found out you could play as Modern Sonic in Classic Sonic's levels and Classic Sonic in Modern Sonic's levels? I sure would.

But now, some of the fun of the game has been ruined.

While yes, I don't mind gameplay videos of levels like Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and City Escape, wanting all this information just ruins some of the fun.

So I suggest you just wait for the final release of the game.

Re: Sonic Generations

@EletricSparx: For most early demo versions of games, the entire code that has been made by the dev team so far is included.

Here's a good example. When I got the Mortal Kombat 9 demo, I started hacking it. As it turns out, the ENTIRE finished game had been included in it's code, AND an unfinished version of the Skarlet DLC was in there too. It was all in there for reference.

Personally, I think NR should've unlocked the full game for demo owners at the midnight of the release.  tongue

The whole "Classic in Modern and Modern in Classic" thing sounds epic but, one, I don't want to screw up my games, and two, that was a rumor at E3 that it will be a feature in the final game.

But when playing them in each others levels, it works very well. Sometimes the game does freeze in C in M, but that's only a scripted scene error. Otherwise, there are no glitches, and everything works smoothly. Plus, it was found in the game's code that you were specifically allowed to play C in M and M in C. So, it's not a rumour - it's near truth, but it hasn't been clarified by SEGA yet, so we don't know. But many hackers, like myself, think that it's a very likely probability that this feature is included. Otherwise, if it isn't, reprogramming the scripted scenes will be the cause, due to the deadline they have (November 22nd).

I might return for a little while.

Unless Sega pulls a "Sonic Xtreme" and none of this ever happens.  tongue

Pfft. Wasting time actually getting to the final boss? I just play the first level and shelf it because all of them are boring.  big_smile

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Naw, don't get the 3DS version. It's horrible compared to the PS3/360 version.

I might return for a little while.

Another troll brutalising our fanbase. What's left of this "fanbase" anyway.

Re: Sonic Generations

I've seen some people whining about your speed/jump height as classic.  He's actually been downsized compared to the actual levels, so in order to maintain balance, he's faster.
Oh also:  The first part of classic green hill is actually from sonic 2.

Re: Sonic Generations

I'm just glad the 3DS version isn't another 'Sonic Rush' (not saying they weren't good, they just got old after a while)...
