Has any one made a desktop widget for windows where you can easily check on an RPG? If not, can someone make one? (Or at least try to...) It would be very helpful to be able to check on my RPG from my desktop instead of having to open up my web browser every time. Don't you think??

Well, it actually isn't that hard to open a browser and check an RPG... xD
But this has nothing to do with the program Scratch, so this belongs in Advanced Topics, no?

i would make one now, but i dont have what i need installed. plus: before i make it, what is the RPG? i can try to make an icon that works for it.

Hrm... Does this have to do with Scratch but at all? If not, I'd be inclined to move it to Miscellaneous, but as a New Scratcher you'd not be able to post in your own topic, at any rate, so - I'm afraid I'm going to have to close this! When you do become a Scratcher, feel free to report this so I can reopen and move to Miscellaneous. smile

Solution: Go to your RPG page, and put your computer on Stand By.
Wiggle the mouse to turn your PC back on to the user selection screen, where you click on your user to get back to your RPG.

Got all that?

I'm working on some ideas...

Edit: I've thrown together a simple VB web browser, it is limited functionality andnot complete yet. describe what exactly you want. do you want a web browser that constantly refreshes and stays on your desktop, or do you want a program that downloads and interprets the data? the first is what I'm working on, and the second will take much more work.

How to easily check on an rpg: go to it's page. Do you seriously need a widget for checking this? If you were on a Mac I could tell you how to make a clip for your dashboard though...

Yeah, but sometimes, I want to just be able to check on my desktop to see if anyone else played my RPG.

if you want something only for your RPG that would be very easy. If you want something for multiple RPGs that could be more difficult. I'm attempting the multiple RPGs, but I'm running into some error. hmm

I made it with CMD. When you open it, it goes to your RPG.

Thanks, but this isn't what I meant. I wanted one of those side widget things. I wouldn't even have to open a web browser. You could just make a shortcut to the web page on the desktop.
