Overreactive Imagination

Do you have one?

If so, does it get annoying a lot?

I have a very overreactive imagination.

My dog barks, I nearly scream (well, it's also midnight).

I hear a twig break, I jump.

My grandmother coughs outside, I freak.

Re: Overreactive Imagination

Someone taps me on the shoulder-wait, I'm sitting with my back against the wall?

Re: Overreactive Imagination

I don't have a sudden imagination. I have a slow, creeping one. That is, if a twig snaps I'm not scared. But if there's a childish picture of a stickman hanging on the wall and I look at it through the darkness and it starts to slowly take on a creepy shape and-ugh.

Re: Overreactive Imagination

I kind of do, but it's the kind where you see someone outside, and you look again, and they're not there......

Once it happened, and I SWEAR I saw a guy who resembled the Sniper from TF2 so much it was scary..... O_o

But it was only once. :\

Oh, the glory of it all - adorable cat people dressed as video game characters!

Re: Overreactive Imagination

Sometimes I look at the carpet and see it moving.

You know really freaked me out when there was someone standing right near the front door at about 7pm, we engaged eye contact through a gap in the curtains and he crept away after the motion sensor light went out without setting off the light motion sensor again. He obviously came up to the door to scope the house as he thought no one was home (No car in driveway). <-- Real. Not imagination.

Maybe it was a dumb salesman who realizes at the last moment that they've all gone to sleep.

[He eventually writes a bestseller horror book, The Eye in the Window, about him back in his days as an insurance salesman, when he comes to a house, only to find it's empty, and when he looks up, AN EYE IS STARING BACK AT HIM!!!!]

Re: Overreactive Imagination

Sometimes,When it gets dark, I have it. The computer usually distracts me from it. Unless I see something scary on the computer. Its complicated.

Re: Overreactive Imagination

Only if it's dark. Then it's like a party up there. Not a big party, but like a birthday party, where you invite a couple of friends and they eat all your cake. Then they try to push you off the trampoline. I almost broke my leg on that trampoline.

What was I talking about?

Re: Overreactive Imagination

Sort of. I have a room to myself ( big_smile ) and my brother's room shares a wall with mine. Our dog sleeps on my younger brother's (nickbrickmaster) bed, and sometimes he has a dream or something and he scratches the wall with his claws. This can be pretty creepy at 2 A.M.

Lurking more than posting, but still here.

I couldn't sleep last night. It was raining and I kept seeing shadows walking past the windows.

If I look into the mirror long enough in the dark without blinking, my face starts to look green :3 try it, it looks cool. And scaryish...

Re: Overreactive Imagination

I hear talking at night, when everyone's in bed and there's no-one it could be. It's really scary.

Re: Overreactive Imagination

i think up crazy things

like

i haven't seen you for a while
where've you been?
everything changed round here
people have left
and walls torn down
it's a mighty fortress now

their empty threats didn't shatter me
though you should already know that
we're deciding on a new population
an unbiased ultra-selection

would you care to join us?
please kindly take a seat
we were preparing to question you
but now i've convinced them otherwise
and we're sitting down for tea

a forcible handshake is often misunderstood
you're getting the context all wrong
perhaps it would be better if i showed you the plans
but then i'd have to kill you slowly

Oh my god... I saw the sniper from TF2 without his gun and with his hat (blue sniper) at my soccer game and a few seconds later he disapeared... which color sniper was yours? Or did his body just look like sniper and not his clothes?

Edit: Correction, the sniper didn't disappear, he walked out of sight two seconds after I looked at him.
