Why?
Why does everybody say that life is short, then later say that a year or month or week is a long time? Like "i'll be gone for a long time"...

They're comparing them to other things. Like for 'life is short' they're comparing it to, maybe, the length of time every generation has lived for together.
But when they say 'gone for a long time', they mean long compared to how long they are usually gone or something.

Average person lives for less than 1000 months now don't tell me that that's not short. Being gone for a month is a long time 1/1000 of a life time. But that's also more than one persons life who's effected. Say 100 people are effected by someone leaving for a month. Then the total time that person is gone is 10% of a full human life. That's a large amount of life hence a long time their gone for.
My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.
