Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) can be of use to businesses of all sizes due to its flexibility and accessibility.
This is according to David Cargill, a council member for the Internet Telephony Service Providers' Association (Itspa), who noted that VoIP can be ideal for start-ups and small businesses.
He explained that communicating using the internet allows companies to adapt quickly and easily to their changing needs without having the expense of upgrading telephone lines.
'The flexibility on the connectivity side is a really good benefit and also the flexibility of your location independence,' Mr Cargill added.
He also pointed out that using VoIP services is generally much cheaper than investing in traditional phone lines.
