The books.

Yep. Bump.

Only people who haven't read the books would say movies
Books

Books, although I can't say I dislike the films.

Books, although they did a great job of turning the HP books into movies, unlike other books. (coughERAGONcough)

Books. Though, I must admit I AM impressed with the movies.

That movie made me want to cry... Cry tears of shame and boredom.

The movies are good, but the books are better.

I disiliked films 4, 5, 6, and 8.
8 was ALL for money. They knew that they would have to make 7 as good as possible in order to reel in people to watch 8. They didn't put in, like any effort but they did get a lot of money

I disagree. I disliked films 1 and 2, but for the most part liked the rest (3 was the best). 8 *wasn't* just for the money, and they actually churned out a fantastic movie, with 97% of critics liking it. Compare that to 95% for The King's Speech.
In the order in which I like the movies, I'd have to say 3, 8, 6/7 (they're tied for me), 5, 4, 1, 2.
It pains me to say it, but I like them both (books and movies) equally. Books and movies are two completely different formats, and if you're trying to compare them, you're missing the point entirely.

+1
Except for movie-liking order.

I don't know, I feel like they barely stuck to the book on 8. They missed a bunch of parts in 4. I am a bit on both sides for 5 and 6, I thought 7 was really good, and I do agree with you that 3 was the best.

I'd have to say books!
They're so good I can't decide which I like the most. The movies are okay, but I can definitely tell you which ones I like the best, in this order, (best to worst). 3, 1 and 2, 7 and 8, 5 and 6 and 4. I don't know, 4 wasn't very well done and 5 wasn't either, and I hate to say 6 as the very dead last. 6 was all right, just a major disappointment to me because the preview was so good and 6 was so... not very good.

This has nothing to do with that, but why bother putting one of the online/offline things in your sig when people can just look at the side of your post and it tells them.

I've been on here a lot longer than you, don't you think I've noticed? I just like them, and the green catches your eye more than Online.

Books. Movies did a good job, and I must say, it took a long string of sequels for them to shift focus from quality to money, and the final shift(movie 8) is the last movie anyway.

Books are def. better, because they are the real, original thing and include way more events and detail. But the movies arde really good. Is anyone else here annoyed by how everyone always says harry potter is for 5 year olds? i mean yeah, the 1st and 2nd ones are childrens books, but past that it starts to get very mature and also somewhat scary and the last book even has a cussword in it. I dont think that would be for little kids.
