I've been working on scratch for the past 3 days but for some reason the words and letters i wrote disappear after a few minutes. And just yesterday i rewrote the backgrounds names, (like instead of them being labeled background 1, or background two i made them black, and game over) If anyone has any information it would be great help cause this is getting annoying.

ah, the old disappearing text glitch. bad times, bad times. lol. anyway, to fix it, save immediately when the text disappears. exit scratch, reopen it and open the project. the text will still be gone in costumes, but costume names and stuff are back. If thats all that disappears, you're done. If it involves text inside costumes, save the project when you open it then open one costume and it's all back.

That happens sometimes. It might have the same name as another background. Do what SilentSlayer said too. That seems to work.

I see that you are a new scratcher but I suggest for these type of questions, you should use the Troubleshooting forum.

Ah yes, the disappearing text glitch. silentslayer7 explained it very well, but if you want more information, JSO has a very helpful thread on it here.

Also, for future reference, questions regarding technical errors and bugs with Scratch go in Troubleshooting. I've already moved this thread for you, but keep in mind you're more likely to get the response you need if you post in the appropriate forum. smile

The disappearing text glitch sad .It's happened to me before. Just save it 2 or 3 times and everything will be restored(including the text IN costumes). Hope that helped wink
