Okay I did not even start the movement for my game Block Battles, but I will and it will have a lot of variables to make moving smooth so any tips for moving with variables and all those complex scripts?

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Death_Test/1947545 if that is what you mean. It was made by the Collabratory collab, though, so if you use it, please give credit
And don't pay attention to the graphics, they were just made for the test

If you give credit, don't give it to me, give it to Collabratory. And if you want to give it to one single person, give it to ASD8, I made a smooth version but it wasn't that good, and ASD8 made it into that, and it's perfect

No, this definitely belongs here. All About Scratch is for questions about scripting in Scratch, no matter how difficult those scripts may be. Advanced Topics is only for technical aspects like modifying the source code of Scratch.

Basically, you should have a continuous script which tells it to move (variable) steps and then a script that changes that variable when button pressed or whatever
