garbling sounds?

Every once and a while, on my music-based complex project, i run play sound code, but scratch plays the sound waits a second, and plays the sound again, while still playing the first shot of the sound so it is kinda like this:

! i am a sound! and i'm playin'!
Yay! i am a sound! and i'm playin'!
Yay! i am a sound! and i'm playin'!
Yay
when it's just supposed to just play it once!

Make sure your sound is a WAV that is what works for me. Try deleting the sound and reuploading it.

Re: garbling sounds?

It's possible that your scripting is telling the sound to play twice.  hmm  Do you have multiple scripts playing the same sound, or your play sound block inside of any kind of loop?

Re: garbling sounds?

P.S. Do not use this script for your sound

Forever
   Play sound-----------

That makes it start and stop over and over again.

After reading the post, I was going to suggest doing what mrdinosaur said, but he/she beat me to it.

RANDOM THOUGHT: If the tomato is a fruit, doesn't that make ketchup a smoothie?

Re: garbling sounds?

This only happens when I leave the scratch window open for about 48 hours.
