Where

to go?

I'm thinking of going to Australia in December, around New Year's. I love Australia, not just for the koalas but also for the culture and all the nice people. (I swear, it's not just their accents!  tongue )

I saved up for my plane fare, and I was wondering where you guys think I should go. I really want to hold/pet/see koalas, and I found to good placed with the same price: Brisbane, in Queensland, or Sydney, in New South Wales. I really want to hold a koala, but I know that's illegal in New South Wales. I am positively DYING to go to Port Macquarie, but unfortunately it's too expensive  sad

I would really appreciate if you could help me out by checking the links below and giving me your input. Please give me the place and the preferred place for koalas.
