what does it mean when people keep saying stuff like

bump
bump
bump
bumpity
bumpity bumb
bumpity bump bump

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo confused....

The topics are arranged by when the last post was posted. So, if exampleuser65 posted in Topic A an hour ago, and exampleuser9001 posted in Topic B two minutes ago, Topic B would be higher on the list than Topic A. Get it so far?

So, when someone bumps up a topic, they post in it so the topic will be first in the list. When a topic is near the top of the list, people tend to notice it more.

tl;dr: People "bump up" a topic to bring it to the top of the topic list.
