Made up statistics...but I want to keep this for the replies people have said.

There are many under-viewed artists as well, just so you know

Not that many underviewed artists than underviewed programmers I think.

I think a good game has good graphics (handmade or not) and good programming. I don't think we should have to choose

Sharing with all levels of experience, but only the art gets over 100 views when the programmers try as hard as the artists but get under 15 views. It isn't fair. That is the sad part of Scratch, and it seems to be turning from programming to drawing.
If you don't mind me asking, I would like to know where you are getting this statistic.
From what I've seen on the site, the amount of views, love-its, etc. largely depends on how well the person is exposing his/her work in the Scratch community. Nothing I've seen so far suggests that one type of project is getting more views than another just solely on project type alone.

What research? I'd certainly like to see it.
So far, drawings seem to get the same number of views as any other project, assuming that the project creator is not well-known and the project is not promoted elsewhere.
Other issues should also be taken into account - for example, there seem to be a lot Scratchers on the site who like cats, so cat project is likely to be viewed over, say, a project teaching calculus.

The research I spent over 3 years doing... I'll work on a little mockup...

If you spent 3 years doing the research, why would you need to do a mockup?

Underviewed programmers?
Looks like your feeble ears haven't heard the mighty names of RHY and Archmage.

Everyone seems like that. You take notice of everything, but only respond to certain posts.
I call it the Invisibility Effect.

i've been here for 3 years and my highest views was from a programming project (188)
also most of my "art" projects get 30-50 views so shut up

First of all, where do you get this info from? Pretty much half of the front page has games on it, be it featured, curated and others. It's improving, and besides, the only "art" section of the front page is the top remixed where all these colouring contests filled with fluffy little kitties appear, and no other art than that is found on the front page.
Plus, if people want views, you need to advertise. You can't just sign up one day, have no friends or comments, upload a good game and sit there and expect the views to come in like a magnet. Sometimes, it's the programmer's fault that they have few views. This doesn't apply to everyone but a lot of Scratchers do this.

this.
Programmers can be lazy and them come to the forums and say they make great games but never get views. It's becuz they dont try or care.

Isn't Scratch for anything? Program does not mean to program games, it means other stuff too.
