i can't import gimp pictures!

i've been trying for months now, to see what to save the picture as. i've tried gif images, pmg, and a whole lot of others, but when i get to scratch, it's as if it wasn't saved!

what do u mean? anyway, if yopu're talking about icons, take the gimp image, upload it in paint, save it, then use that. if you don't have paint then download it.
