I Would Like To Be A Curator....
Because:
I Liked Scratch From The Beginning At 2010 And Then I Become Good At scratch But Then I Had An Admin Message Because I Insulted A Scratcher, And Then I Got The Idea, Why Not Become A Scratch Curator? Because I Felt Sorry For Myself And I Can Let Scratchers With Great Games! To Be More Popular Because They Deserved It smile

i would sure love to curate, and moderate, and all that stuff... if i had one reason why i would want to curate some projects just to get a new great scratcher. once a scratcher gains fame, each project gets on the front page, or almost each one. if someone (your's truly- chipguy) could find a project that shows that persons skills, there will be more well known scratchers, and everyone will get a turn. i havn't been banned, or even a warning (if there is such thing) that i was being bad. i'm pretty sure that if i am picked, i'll do well!

I just realized a lot of New Scratchers ask to be curators, yet I never see New Scratcher Curators-I'm not planning on running for Curator, or at least yet, but I'm curious because if the Scratch Team wasn't going to pick New Scratchers, It'd be better to put that in the first post. hmm

Interesting point yikes I did notice this part from the topic post though:

"We especially like to choose Scratchers who have been helpful and contributing members of the Scratch community."

Maybe that implies that they'll be picking curators that have been contributing to Scratch for a while?

I'm not complaining really-New Scratchers probably shouldn't be curators as they could curate inappropriate projects, but it should be better written than that. Maybe saying "At least 4 months on Scratch" Or being a Scratcher. I say 4 months because there are some people that have been on the website more than the forums and aren't Scratchers on the forums even though they've been on scratch for months, and they'd probably actually be the best ones for the job tongue

I would like to be a curator!

My favorite types of projects are projects that are very well developed and will keep you playing for a while. Some projects that I really enjoyed where:

I want to be a Scratch curator. I love Scratch, and it would make my list of top 3 favorite things to play on the computer and list of top three visited sites. I would pick fun and cool projects, especially games, one with awesome programing and great graphics. It also wouldn't have many views, so that it is new to many people. Sometimes, I see an awesome project, and barely anyone has looked at it. I only want to be curator for a short while, like a few weeks. Please choose me to be curator!

I love looking at the games that were featured by a curator, and i would love to help other people be recognized. i do not use favoritism, and i choose fairly. I would look at at least 15 pages of actual projects, choose a certain number out of those, then make my final decisions smile
i would also like to add i will not choose anything by famous scratchers, unless its a really good game. id choose unknown scratchers, and if theyre good, new ones. i would mostly have games up there.

Dear Scratch Team,

I would like to become a curator. I find that many good projects are not viewed simply because other Scratchers are more famous. An example is this project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ShadowandSonic/1531409
This is a good project, very well designed, and the author even did his own voicing! However, it has only 36 views. It and countless other projects like it deserve more views. I would also try to change my curated projects every other day in order to get more projects on the front page for a good amount of time. I have noticed that in the past, some curators have left the same three projects on the front page for a week. I would like to see more projects being curated rather than a few for a long time. I feel that these reasons would make me a good curator for Scratch. Thank you, Scratch Team.
