What's funny about that? It's a newspaper x__xYes, a newspaper that once reported that a bus was spotted on the moon. A few days later (I can't remember how long) it reported that it was missing! They did the same with an aeroplane.
It's not just that, the newspaper sucks for it's political bias and it's overreaction of everything.
Plus, I can't think about how unhealthy that boy must have been if he died just from a blood clot. Sure, playing games for 5 hours isn't the healthiest activity but that's like saying a boy died from eating 100g of milk chocolate - not good for you but not death-worthy.
He was unemployed and had twelve hour sessions of playing, probably without moving.
it seems like he was addicted.

Yes, thats right.
A dude playing Xbox died of a blood clot from sitting and playing it for 5 hours. Play longer than that? You're in risk.
Discuss.
That's nothing. I heard a guy stayed in the same position playing video games for 21 hours and another guy who played for 3 days (without any food or water or bathroom breaks)! People can get too addicted to video games.

Does it have the same effect sitting and playing on the computer? I'm addicted and usually don't get off unless i'm asked too. I can stay on for hours at a time. In fact, food isn't even a problem for me! Neither is the bathroom, so would you say i'm "In danger?"

I wouldn't worry, if people are making a big deal about it it must be very uncommon.

This can happen with any activity that involves sitting down and not moving for long periods of time - long airplane flights, extended gaming sessions, etc. Make sure to get up and move around periodically, and you should be fine. (At least in terms of clotting - there's the whole lack of exercise thing, but meh.
