I have 3 mods installed, portal gun, clay soldiers, and single player commands.
Should I get aether? I could get around the aether pretty well with a portal gun

Nice idea, but are they compatible?

I just got aether, and beforehand I uninstalled everything with a force update, but for some reason, portal gun was still there...
Weird. The aether is so cool, but extremely hard to function and get started in. Snowballs flying around everywhere, poison darts. I got knocked off, but the portal gun mods advanced knee replacements saved me
My portal started me in the middle of the sky.
I can't wait to get to look for the bronze dungeon, but that will take a while to get all of the necessary tools and whatnot.
Any tips?

Dear god...
I just found out that the guys making Fortresscraft were going to buy Minecraft, make it worse, and put advertising for FC in MC.
Unbelievable.

.______. Apparently it was an April Fools joke. When I clicked the "source" in the article, it lead to an article about the Royal Wedding.

Lol. Good thing, though. Notch wouldn't sell it, even if it were real. He enjoys making minecraft.

He would likely also have said something on his blog about it.

Just got Clay Soldiers!
It's a really fun, easy-to-install mod which involves creating tiny people (smaller than a block, maybe half a block tall) and then having them battle! You can dye your people and have different coloured ones. Ones of the same colour will not attack each other, but once they catch sight of an enemy they will attack it. To make them stronger or more lethal, you can give them a sword (a stick), some armour (a piece of leather), slime (to stick the enemy to the ground), redstone (to blind the enemy) and tons more.
Since there very easy to make (1 clay and 1 soulsand= 4 soldiers, and 4 dirt and 1 soulsand= 2 horses (tiny ones they can ride!) ) you can have whole armies fighting. You could make an arena and release hundreds and watch them battle! You can select a leader and he will lead his colours into battle.
And don't worry, you don't lose the people when they die, they just drop like items.

It is a really cool mod. If you have toomanyitems you can make an infinite stack, shift click, then you can put down 111 clay soldiers at a time. Its pretty awesome, but lags if you have a slower computer like mine.

I tried out more creeps and weirdos, and these new mobs are creeps and weirdos.
Not only do you have conceited robots, you have weird bouncy birds that eat leaves, aliens called floobs with lasers, walking Gs (the letter g) that drop things that begin with G.
There are some cool things that help you, like hunchbacks that if you give them cake, they will follow you, and if you give them a bone while following you, they summon a loyal skeleton army!
There are also combat ready hot dogs and guinea pigs.
My least favorite thing is the lawyers. Yes there are lawyers. They will attack you, and yes, fine you. If the fine rises too high, you're sent to jail , and all of your stuff is taken and put into chests. Your jail cell is not locked, but guarded by a zombie lawyer, and near the chest containing your stuff is a skeleton spawner. When you go to jail, it generates underground, and leading back to the surface is a narrow staircase up. The jail generates right under where you were jailed too, thank goodness.
There are too many other things I didn't mention. They are quite comedic, yet as the mod says, weird.
EDIT: It was a bit too creepy in my opinion, but funny. I got rid of it, but I realized I had gotten rid of my aether, portal and mod tools to rid of this single mod. Oh well.
@Werd I had that mod, but I got rid of that a while ago, cus it gets boring after a while.

To do that you would need to have to put the door forward one, and seriously, that guy is never going to get anything done with creepers constantly walking through his door, and whats the area under his house like?

Yeah, it's the sort of mod which is fun at first but after a while gets boring.

actually no, you could use the wall as a base for the door instead of the ground beneath it.
Au contraire, complex redstone powers GO!
Lava ALL DA WAY!

Quickie mod idea:
Introducing: Minecraft Survival Horror Mod
This mod turns Minecraft into an extremely brutal contest of life and death. You spawn in an Indev House, with a chest containing weapons and food, right in the middle of a bedrock fortress. You'll notice some changes right off the bat. It is always midnight and in a thunderstorm. The difficulty is also permanently (until you remove he mod, that is) set to hard. Peaceful mobs cannot spawn. Enemies come in waves of 215 (200 hostile mobs and 15 neutral mobs automatically turned aggressive). Between waves, there is a "rest break" for you to do stuff like healing (or anything else, really). Mobs cannot spawn outside the boundaries of the fortress. Also, if other mods add new mobs, this mod supports them.
Like the idea?

That would be pretty cool!
I like the indev house idea.

^^^^^^ Kind of like the planned (cancelled now, i believe) Zombie siege mode. Although maybe no creepers, as that would get messy.
