How do I combine sprites into costumes?

I searched the forums but I only found the opposite of this question.

I have several sprites that I need to combine into multiple costumes of one sprite.  Any suggestions?

OK.  This is actually Dad asking for "Nacho" (dd) who is creating a cool game starring "Nacho Man"!  This really is cool software.  Where else could I have turned when my 10-year-old said, "I want to create an online computer game-- you work with computers-- can you show me how?"  I ran across this in Scholastic Administrator.

Re: How do I combine sprites into costumes?

Thanks for the positive feedback Nacho & dad.

Let me see if I understand the question.

You have SpriteA and SpriteB. And you want to create a SpriteC using a costume from SpriteA and costume from SpriteB?

If that's the case you can click on the sprite, then click on the costumes tab, then right click on the costume and select export.  You can export the two sprites: one from SpriteA and one from SpriteB and then create a new SpriteC and import the two costumes in there.

I hope this answers the question.

Remember that a sprite is composed of one or more costumes and code.

Re: How do I combine sprites into costumes?

If the sprites are all in the same projects, you can just drag the costumes from the costume pane for sprite A onto sprite C below the game panel, then do the same for sprite B.  No need to use export.

Thanks to both of you!  The drag and drop idea worked! We can't wait to show you our new, almost completed Nacho Man game!  -Nacho   lol
