In the Simpsons Movie, Flanders names 4 states that surround Springfield. Ohio is surrounded by these states. Also, in an episode of the Simpsons, Homer mentions something about the state and Ohio. So, Ohio is my guess.

Yup. But North Takoma ain't real. Then again, neither are the simpsons.
Another way of finding it is locating each Springfield and seeing if there's a Shelbyville nearby.    GENIUS!
