I can't download anything!!

I can't download any project i go on to. I used to be able to but I downloaded a programming language called small basic and it interferes with scratch! When i down load something it come out in small basic! (google it to see)

I bet Small Basic has projects with file extensions of .sb, just like Scratch.  Since you installed Small basic, the .sb file type is now associated with that program.  You should be able to view Scratch projects still by starting up Scratch first and using Open Project from within Scratch and finding the file you downloaded from the Scratch site.

Or, you can reassociate the .sb file type with Scratch.  You can do that from the Control Panel (I think) or, you can just reinstall Scratch.

when I use my grandpa's mac it won't download either, it just says that the download has failed. it won't let me share as well.

I am AFawcett. Please comment and love-it on all my projects

Ah, if you want to open a document in a different program, drag - or commandoption drag - the icon on to the apps icon in the dock. That will force the document to open in the program.

Example:

I dragged Homework.doc (Word document opens in word)
onto TextEdit, and - voila - it opens in TextEdit!

So, you would drag the scratch file onto the scratch icon in the dock!

There are 0011 types of people, those that can count in binary and those that can't.
