Hey, zarniwoop! Welcome to Scratch, I hope you have a great time here. If you have any questions, don't be shy to ask. When you have one, head over to Advanced Topics and make a thread with the question. It doesn't matter if it's not advanced-Beginners have to start somewhere, no? 
You may have noticed you're a New Scratcher. That means you have a 180 seconds rule and you can't post in Miscellaneous-But don't worry, if you're active on the site and forums, you'll be a scratcher in no time.
And I'd personally recommend seeing the TBGs (Text based games) ( scratch.mit.edu/tbgforums ) they're really fun
