There's no private messaging system in Scratch, if that's what you mean. (Please don't suggest one either; the Scratch Team has already said that this is a definite no. Just thought I'd nip that in the bud. 
)
The best way to talk to your friends if you need to contact them for some reason is just to post a comment on one of their projects.
