Yes! I Beat The Odds!

Even though I am a few years under the recommended age for rated M games, I convinced my parents to let me get Grand Theft Auto IV! It took 3 years after the game came out to do it, but I am finally getting GTA IV!

Talk about miracles like these in which you convince your parents to let you get stuff  big_smile

Re: Yes! I Beat The Odds!

When I got Gmod with little hassle.

But then later was told to stop playing because my mom was like "Ope! I saw SINGL GUN, no more for you!!!"

That isn't something you want to be proud of.

Maybe he doesn't normally get those  games or something?

I see nothing wrong with being excited over a new game.

It is not something to get proud over because he is under the age limit.

Video games don't affect me. Neither do movies, TV shows, or song lyrics. To me, it's just entertainment. So that's why I don't get why my parents didn't let me get this before, and I'm happy that they finally said yes. Not because I can get an M rated game(I already have a few), but because I am getting a really good game.

I don't think he's proud of it; he's glad he gets to play a good game that he's wanted to play for a while.

Congrats, by the way. Maybe my mom will finally relent eventually, but I doubt it.

I like playing M rated games, even though I'm 12? U mad bro?

Anyway, my dad played co-op Halo with me when I was 7, and I don't seem to be serial killing.

It is for the average boy. I think that 80% of the boys would easily be proud of it over the 20% of good children  lol

Im jk, but more kids would feel proud nonetheless.

Thank you for being the only reasonable person to question me  tongue

You realized that I did not at all say that I am proud that I am getting this game, but happy. GTA IV is a really good game, it got a 10/10 by IGN, as well as being rated game of the year. I've always wanted it because I used to watch my cousins play the previous games and they looked really fun.

See? I'm not proud, I'm happy.

But thats the reason they have limits.

They have suggestions. They are not followed as law unless they're AO. It's basically the maturity level your head should be at (or at least where it should be based on the content, I think the specific content listed is more important than the age suggestion)

And who are we kidding? They're aimed at people his age.
