Re: Getting through this dark age.

Soup, I am honest. All of you on this topic saying "don't be talking Brony" I am trying to help rebuild these forums stop burning it down. If this dies then the forums may get even worse.

Re: Getting through this dark age.

I don't think there's any problems with the Misc. forum lately. Sure, there might be a few flames going on here and there, but I don't think it's likely to get out of the ordinary. The forums will never be perfect, but there's no reason to freak out. If a flame does turn into something more, we have a bunch of mods and stuff to take care of it. It's OK to be concerned about the welfare of our forums, but a "Dark Age" isn't exactly what's going on right now.  hmm

Re: Getting through this dark age.

Dark Age is reasonable to call it, Minecraft topics are overflowing the forums, Portal references everywhere, haters flaming it is a Dark Age.

I agree with Musicstar on this one, why don't you guys take a cup of tea and eat some cookies to relax. ^^

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

I'd prefer a can of soda and a sandvich, but okay.

And who cares about the terminology of Dark Ages 'n' stuff? I certainly don't.

Re: Getting through this dark age.

I don't see as much flaming as you describe. I do see a lot of spam tho. There is a decent amount of arguing over stupid things.

Re: Getting through this dark age.

You know what?

Misc should be shut down for a day, mods should remove anything relating to the argument (not the "causes" (e.g. Minecraft topics, Portal etc.) but the topics like "Enough!") and such then have everyone try to not cause another war.

Heck, close it for a long time.

That is the most stupid idea ever, it dosen't solve are problem is just erases the discussion of the problem, which a solution to could have a better effect on the community.

Re: Getting through this dark age.

I think we've all heard enough about the issues in Miscellaneous.  These discussions are, in my opinion, now more annoying than the issues.  Fads come and fads go...we all just need to practice a little tolerance and patience.
