Yeah, pretty much this. I remember people tried out a veeeeeeery early version (to the point that it was pretty much the same as 1.4 but in Flash, plus the bugs), in Scratch Day 2010 at MIT. There was also an URL that leaked once, but again, it's a version so early you probably shouldn't bother trying to find it.

Yeah, there was something leaked after Scratch Day this year, but it wasn't anything official. All I ever saw was pictures anyways.

No, there is no beta release yet. Unfortunately if you didn't go to scratch day or get the leaked version, you can't try the early alpha.

This pretty much. Now that I remember, yeah, it apparently had BYOB and a buggy cloning feature.

I remember someone else before was just as desperate as you to get the alpha, can't remember who though... I still don't see the point of having it, it's pretty much BYOB with a really buggy cloning feature. That and, the alpha can't be distributed freely to anyone like that.

That was the leaked version. Trust me, it wasn't really worth using anyway.

And don't bother chasing it; the Scratch Team doesn't want veggie (or anyone else) to give it to others.
