*Ahem* My dear fellow Scratchers, I'm afraid both of your comments violate our Terms of Use. Please read through the Terms of Use and try not to violate the Terms of Use again in the future, elsewise the Terms of Use will haunt you in your sleep.
I feel like a commercial spammer now.
I didn't say that was a bad thing...

Time to restate my opinion. I do not think video games induce violence. I think that what really happens is that some people who have these violent behaviors are attracted to these games. This is why it seems that video games cause violence at a glance, but at a closer look there is a hole in these arguments.
Never thought of this like that... Makes lots of sense

Younger players would usually find themselves acting unrationally, as the game does.

He could in fact cite that. There are many studies that do show that violent video games create violent behavior in kids.
There are also around an equal amount of studies that show that there isn't a strong link to violent video games and violent behavior:

I could give you more, but I think you get the point. There are countless studies on both sides of the argument, so you can't use studies a consensus for either side.

I don't play those games, but most people who do are fine. Exept 1 kid who's really addicted to them, and he's insecure and wants to be in the army. (There is nothing wrong with wanting to be in the army, but at his age his mind is totally set on dropping out of highschool to kill people)

Precisely. So when I asked for a citation, I meant an actual case. A real life kid who actually went maniac.

Yeah, that. I read about it in a book about the history of video games. It was in a chapter cleverly titled "Moral Kombat".

Oh yeah, I have that book. Great book, you should all get it. It's called The Ultimate History of Video Games. Even though it's a history book of a type and there's all sorts of business stuff flying around it's a pretty good read.

The Columbian Massacre is very interesting(!) and all, but as far as I can make out(I only skimmed the wikipedia page), it's just a couple of teens who went psycho due to their hatred for society.
Also, even if it was linked to video games, it's a couple of people among thousands and thousands of gamers.
