Hey, I was just wondering else here liked to do arts and crafts.
No, I don't mean just drawing and painting alone. I was wondering if anyone else had other creative outlets, such as origami, sculpture, sewing, knitting, jewelry making, even culinary arts (creative cooking ideas). I like to hear what other creative ideas are out there. Share them!

What kind of clothes have you designed so far?

What are you trying to create with paper?
Some papercrafts are harder than others - maybe your tackling on something that too difficult right away? ^^

I made an angel doll for a school Christmas contest once. :3 It's about a foot tall and has a plastic bottle for a base. It's got a white satin dress and hood with white fur borders. It looks really good, just like the kind you see in gift stores. :3
Sadly, it's a bit dirty after a little fire incident in our kitchen and it's hard to wash off. :-P

yeah
i got really frustrated designing at first, none of my cuts came out right
i made a light purple dress with a while belt (lined with silver thread) and a gold belt buckle as my first design. i took so long making suck a simple design to make it all perfect, now i can make one pretty fast

I usually create papercrafts of my favorite video game characters, of my own characters, or of other things I like.

Erm, The only art I usually make are drawing, because I want to create an anime or manga, or probably both.

I sometimes like making musical instruments out of recycled materials. One of my favorites to make is what I call a cap drum. When I break a swim cap, I cut it in half and stretch it over the opening of a plastic container. It makes a cool sound and is fun to bring to swim meets! I once made a tuned harp-like instrument with rubber bands and I've made wind instruments with PVC.

I don't do much anymore, unfortunately. I used to make napkin holders out of craft sticks.

XD, I though I was the only one who used old dollhouses to store things.
Although, I don't store clothing ideas in there, I usually make small food out of clay and store them in the dollhouse cupboards and shelves.

Ooh, upcycling stuff to make instruments!
I used to make rubber band instruments, too, but out of an empty napkin box. I've never though about using PVC to make wind instruments, but now you've got me curious to try that out.

I made a minecraft diamond pickax out of perler beads (The beads that melt when you iron them.)
Also, speaking of musical instruments when I was about 7 or 8 I used to dig in the tool drawer, get bolts and stuff, and figure out a way to put them together so that you could make cool sounds with them. Sadly, I don't know where any of them went. D:

I love cooking, origami and painting... And I used to make model planes a lot! I even tried putting motors on them but they became too heavy
I've tried knitting and I knitted myself a hat thing but found knitting to be too boring...

I like making tiny plasticine figures (similar to Netsuke Dolls) and then painting them with clear nail varnish to harden theminto tiny ornaments
I also paint on small details with nail varnish :3
That way, you won't squash the figure easily ^^

Yes, I did. ^^
I did it more for the fun of it than to win though. I don't really like school contests.

I make papercrafts without templates, going ahead and seeing what works and what doesn't.
I also SOMETIMES do sewing, and I'm going to try making something for Halloween, but I'm not sure what I'll be yet.

I draw a lot
Lately I've been drawing these humanizations of American birds, and I'm planning to make a website to put them all.
Aside from drawing, I do some origami and papercraft, and I also knit (but not too often).
I also enjoy whittling and carving wood, would I rarely get the chance to do that (except in school)
I obviously also do digital art and spriting. That is art too.
I also cook if you will count that as an art
Overall I am pretty creative and artsy, if I do say so myself. I think that comes from my Nanny. She would always sew and make jewelry, and she made dolls and doll houses too. My family ha this one doll house she made, and the detail is stunning. I'll post pictures someday :3

oh, cool. i use it kindof like a store setup. i hang little hangers on old shoelace, kind of like a clothes line, but not for washing clothes.
i havent made a design in forever, and i have the urge to do it right now
